LCD TV Buyers Guide

There are so many things that one wants to get when they spend the amount of money it costs for a high quality LCD TV that you want to make sure first that you know what you are looking for and second that you know which features are the most important to you.  For sure the biggest feature that you will take into consideration is the size of the television.  If you start here you can not only narrow down many models, but you can also get a good feel for what price range you will be talking about.

Once you know the size of the LCD TV you are looking for you will next want to look at the inputs. Most any LCD TV on the market is going to have hdmi hookups and some rca's, for most of this, these inputs will do, but maybe not.  So make sure you know what type of connectors go to your vcr, dvd player, game consoles and computer. 

You can always use converters to make sure that everything will hook up correctly.  The only problem with doing this is that you will not only loose some of the quality of the connection, but you will also be adding to the over all cost of ownership of the new LCD TV you are after.  So take this into consideration while you are on the hunt.

Next we need to know about what menu or adjustment features will be important to you, there are many different options on all brands so do your homework on this as well and it will payoff in the long run for you.

Finally you want to check out the usb connection, as most LCD Televisions will have a usb connection, however depending on the model, what the usb connect does for you may vary. Some models will only let you view images from your thumbdrive or camera.  Now, there are some models that have on board software to decode videos, music and more also.  So this can be a big selling point for many as well.

When it comes down to it, any LCD TV is going to blow your old tube tv away, but if you know what you are looking for before you hit the showroom floor, you will be sure to get what "you" want and not just what that pesky salesman wants you to buy.
